sunflowers and an Eagle

This week the boys and I spent time with Grandpa Chuck in the town of Sarona, WI. While were there we spent time on the boat fishing...on the second day we came around the corner and there stood this beautiful eagle...drinking water and looking around. He stayed right there while we came in fairly close..and I was able to snap this great shot of him!








We were driving the country roads coming back from Spooner...when we saw this field of Sunflowers in full bloom. It seems they harvest sunflowers to make sunflower oil. It was an amazing thing to see...

Jets and Planes...

The large plane landed in Wisconsin...it's filled with Soldiers returning from Iraq...I had the pleasure of watching them land while doing group photos at the National Guard Youth Camp. The Jet is a Fighter Jet that has seen several deployments in Iraq and is from the Wisconsin Air Guard. ( I was given permission to photograph the Jet by it's pilot.)

Humming Birds at Grandma Baier's

Not a humming bird... but a nice bird none the less..
These birds were moving so fast...and would only come in when was a considerable distance away...so the photos are bit grainy....but I sure enjoyed watching them and trying to photograph them....


This little one was sitting in a Lilac bush...and was hard to get the camera to focus in on...but not bad....for the distance...:)

interesting things....

Mike and I were at the store...and they had one of those machines...with the claw..and the stuffed animals...we spent $7.00 and went home with six animals all that would be great for OPLove photo shoots with kids! We are sending one to Tom also...
The cats have rediscovered the backyard...and have enjoyed exploring!
Speck and Atemu have are in love!
